Magazine Christmas Trees tutorial

Tools and Materials:Old magazines of any size
Gold, silver or other spray paint if desired
Glitter in desired colors
glue (clear drying or spray adhesive)
Bone folder (optional)

Open magazine and bend to break spine.
Fold individual page from top right corner to inside seam. Fold same page from bottom right edge to gutter.

Now crease this first fold, carefully. Again, take this page and fold it over until the crease rests against the glued binding of the magazine. Crease second fold.

Finally fold the triangle (that overlaps the bottom of the magazine) upward so it will be even with the bottom of the book, crease it; making the bottom flat. ****NOTE** I changed that step and folded my small triangle at the bottom UP & INWARD so you couldn't see it since that's how Martha did it on tv-different from instructions**can send you a pic if you need it.

When the magazine is completely folded glue the front and back pages together. Spray tree with paint if desired, and sprinkle glitter while still wet.

*****if tree isn't as thick as you would like, you can glue 2 folded magazines together.
this is how mine looked on my shelf in the living room:
